Hannah

Overview

Meet Hannah, a nine-year-old smooth red miniature dachshund with a playful streak, a snuggly side, and a dachshund's trademark opinion about everything. She weighs 9 lbs and is, in a word, a character.

Spunky Hannah came to Little Paws following a divorce and is looking for a calm, settled home where she can be herself. She's easygoing at her core, but she has personality to spare and will make sure you know when something is worth commenting on.

Environment

Hannah is a medium-energy almost-senior who loves going on walks and exploring outdoors. She is equally happy when there's a cozy spot and a person nearby. She enjoys having a fenced yard to roam and potter around in, but is also a great leash walker. Her crate is her happy place, and she's very content left to her own devices when needed.

Hannah alert barks, particularly when welcoming people or reacting to the world outside, so a home without shared walls may suit her best. She's quiet in the car with no radius restrictions.

Pets & People

Hannah is great with people and does fine with strangers, though she'll make sure to announce their arrival first. She gets along well with all dogs and is relaxed around food, with no guarding or pushiness at mealtimes. She is a food motivated girlie! She gets along great with foster-mate Hooper and they can be adopted together.

She is funny, quirky, playful, and snuggly in equal measure. She's the kind of dog who keeps things interesting.

Hannah is currently being fostered alongside Hooper, a 13-year-old male dachshund, and the two get along very well. If not adopted with Hooper, Hannah will need at least one other dog buddy in the house, preferably one that enjoys snuggling with other dogs.
